Easy Walnut Flapjacks

Super easy flapjacks made with walnuts, sunflower seeds and dried fruit.

  • 90 g salted butter
  • 90 g golden syrup
  • 90 g light muscovado sugar
  • 150 g oats
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 150 g dried mixed fruit
  • 75 g walnuts chopped


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a 20cm square baking tin with greaseproof paper.
  • Put the butter, golden syrup and sugar into a medium pan over a medium-low heat. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in all the remaining ingredients.
  • Press the mixture into the tin. Cook for 20 mins until golden brown. Score the flapjack into 9 squares while still hot.
  • Cool slightly in the tin then turn the flapjack out onto a chopping board. Cut into squares and leave to cool.
